He also notes that it lasts about 6 hours for him. You can check out his review here.

YouTuber GerardGeorge is also enthusiastic about Asad. While he doesn’t see it as an exact copy of Sauvage Elixir, he believes it comes pretty close. According to him, Asad is warm, sexy, and spicy, suitable for any occasion.

Fragrantica rates Asad 4.3 out of 5 stars. While the scents are very similar, Asad is noted for being a bit softer and sweeter. Aromatix reported that the scent lasted 6 hours, but one Fragrantica user mentioned it could last up to 12 hours!

Parfumo also rates this Lattafa dupe highly, especially for its price-quality ratio:

Finally, Amazon reviews highlight how closely the scent matches Sauvage Elixir, with Asad scoring 4.4 out of 5 stars.

Our experience

We tried Asad ourselves and can confirm it’s slightly softer than Sauvage Elixir. On us, the fragrance lasted about 6 hours in total. The projection is strong for the first 2-3 hours, then gradually fades. After 4 hours, it becomes a skin scent, sitting closer to the skin.

Not everyone can detect the pineapple notes in the opening, which we understand. Many associate the scent of pineapple with the overly sweet smell of canned pineapple, but Asad offers the notes of freshly cut pineapple, which is much less sweet and more refreshing. Combine that with the notes of tobacco and black pepper, and you get a fresh, spicy opening that’s a bit less intense than Sauvage Elixir’s, but still quite bold.

Due to its intense opening and spicy notes, we find Asad better suited for cooler months like fall, winter, and early spring. The bottle's presentation isn’t our favorite and feels a bit cheap, and the sprayer is just okay.

But of course, the most important thing is what’s inside the bottle, and that’s really good quality. We’re comfortable giving Asad a 9.

Is Asad a good alternative?

Asad is a bit softer and sweeter than Sauvage Elixir. The opening is slightly less spicy, and the dry down has more vanilla than the original. It’s not a 100% dupe, but it shares the same DNA.

If you love the scent of Sauvage Elixir but don’t want to spend a lot, Asad is an excellent alternative. We paid $30 for it, making this fragrance much more budget-friendly than its inspiration.
