intense noir - sapil

Resembles Aventus by Creed

With Intense Noir by Sapil, we're putting a lesser-known fragrance in the spotlight today. We've previously reviewed another Sapil scent called Bound (inspired by Code Profumo), and we were so impressed that we wanted to give Intense Noir a try as well.

Scent of Intense Noir

As soon as you smell Intense Noir, you’ll know right away: it’s a great dupe for the popular (and pricey) Aventus. This oriental scent from Sapil starts off fresh with a big hit of lemon and bergamot, which quickly gives way to a woody note of birch. In the background, you’ll catch hints of black pepper, patchouli, and musk, adding a smoky and spicier vibe to the fragrance.

Top Notes: lemon, birch, bergamot

Heart Notes: patchouli, black pepper, leather

Base Notes: musk, amber, moss

The price

Intense Noir is known as an affordable fragrance. Below, you’ll find the current prices from various sellers. Just keep in mind that prices and delivery times may vary between different online stores.

Online opinions

Intense Noir is still quite under-the-radar, which shows in the lack of reviews available online. There’s hardly anything on perfume sites like Parfumo and Fragrantica. You can find a bit more on YouTube and Reddit, but it’s still pretty limited. However, even the reviews that are out there, including those on Reddit, are very positive.

On YouTube, there are two channels that have reviewed Intense Noir. PRScents has done a video and is pretty positive about the scent, especially given the price-to-quality ratio. The comments on his video are also really positive. Fragrance Fan has done a detailed review too, and he also made a shorter video that nicely summarizes his full review.

As you can see, he’s pretty positive about Intense Noir. It’s fairly comparable to Aventus and is a solid easy-to-wear scent that you can use all year round. He mentions that the projection and longevity are average.

Reviews on Reddit are also scarce, but the ones we found were really positive.

Our take

Of course, we’ve tried the fragrance ourselves and totally agree with the reviews above. Intense Noir is an easy-to-wear scent that’s quite similar to Aventus.

While writing this review, we reapplied the perfume several times because we love the opening. It’s fresh and a bit more smoky and woody compared to Aventus, making it feel a bit more mysterious, bold, and enjoyable.

The scent isn’t too strong or attention-grabbing, so it’s perfect for wearing at the office or a party. You don’t have to worry about over-applying since the fragrance stays soft and smooth. Intense Noir is versatile and can be worn year-round.

The performance is solid. We get about 4 to 5 hours with a good scent trail. The first 2 hours have excellent projection, but then it settles closer to the skin.

If the longevity had been a bit better, we would’ve given Intense Noir a solid 9. Since it’s still a great scent, we’re giving it an 8. We also want to give a shout-out to the presentation—the bottle looks cool, masculine, and modern.

Is Intense Noir worth it?

Intense Noir is a versatile and easy-to-wear fragrance that doesn't demand attention. It's perfect for year-round use, adding a pleasant smoky and woody twist to the Aventus vibe.

The longevity of Intense Noir is average, but if you want it to last longer, you can always add a few extra sprays—especially considering its price. When it comes to value for money, it's a solid addition to your fragrance collection. If you're looking for an Aventus-inspired scent with a bit of an edge, Intense Noir is definitely worth a try!
