Opinions on the internet
Many perfume enthusiasts have shared their thoughts on this affordable dupe online. Some love it, while others have mixed feelings.
For instance, YouTuber Aromatix isn’t too thrilled about Bade’e Al Oud Amethyst. He thinks the scent smells a bit too synthetic. However, he does mention in his review that this dupe is about 70% similar to Atomic Rose. On the plus side, he’s impressed with its performance, noting that the scent lasts 8 to 12 hours on him! You can watch his full review here.
YouTuber Zurri has also tried Bade’e Al Oud Amethyst. She loves the rose scent but isn’t a big fan of the pink pepper. In her review, she compares Lattafa’s perfume with Atomic Rose, saying the latter opens fresher and more vibrant, while the Lattafa dupe emphasizes the heavier oud notes. On TikTok, Beanscents is super excited! He calls it one of his favorite scents and says this dupe is very unique. He also mentions that Bade’e Al Oud Amethyst is one of the best performers in his collection, lasting up to 12 hours on his skin! He tends to wear it when he wants to stand out and exude luxury.
On Reddit, reviews are also pretty positive. One user describes the scent as a classic Mustang covered in rose petals, which eventually becomes sweeter and softer. He likes it so much that he gives this dupe a 10 out of 10!
Another Reddit user mentions that this perfume has a wonderful unisex scent, but it might not be everyone’s cup of tea due to its boldness.
On Fragrantica, Bade’e Al Oud Amethyst scores 4.11 out of 5 stars. Most reviews are glowing, but some note that it’s a strong fragrance that requires a good dose of confidence to wear. It’s also pointed out that this dupe has excellent longevity.
Finally, on Parfumo, it scores above 8 in almost every category, which is pretty impressive!
Our experience
We’ve also tried Bade’e Al Oud Amethyst by Lattafa, and we found it to be a heavy scent, especially at the start. You’re immediately hit with an intense blend of rose and oud. The rose scent is prominent at first, but over time, it becomes more balanced. We agree with Aromatix that this dupe is about 70% similar to Atomic Rose. While Atomic Rose opens fresher and more vibrant, the Lattafa dupe, with its oud, opens heavier.
The performance of this perfume is really good. Bade’e Al Oud Amethyst lasts over 8 hours on our skin, with the sillage and projection being strong in the first 2 to 3 hours, then gradually fading.
We also find this dupe to be unisex. The rose notes give it a bit of a feminine touch, but we believe a confident man could easily pull it off. We think it’s better suited for those over 30. Since it’s a heavier scent, it’s less suitable for summer but perfect for winter and fall.
The presentation of this dupe is stunning and, as mentioned, looks a lot like the Atomic Rose bottle. It’s a solid, robust bottle with a heavy cap that matches the quality of the perfume inside.
Our verdict
Bade’e Al Oud Amethyst is too unique to call it a 100% dupe of Atomic Rose. The main differences are the sparkling rose opening of Atomic Rose (which is heavier and duller in Amethyst) and the more prominent oud in Amethyst.
If you like heavier scents with rose and oud notes, Bade’e Al Oud Amethyst will likely be a hit for you. Considering the positive feedback online, we think it’s safe to "blind buy" this dupe.
However, if you’re not a fan of oud or rose, or if you’re unsure, we recommend trying Amethyst first. This scent isn’t for everyone.
